Hi George,

Tried the rebuild with TMPFILES=C:\HSTAT\ and it worked *mostly* but it seems that for included files - bitmaps and also I have one included table (as password table), it did not solve it. Ran out of time to get the customer a fix so I had to copy the development work back to my C: drive, put in the TMPFILES as above and then rebuild. This seemed to get around the error.

It appears that what is happening is that FPW is trying to fetch these files from the embedded file path and if that drive happens to be a non-writable drive (ie a CD drive), then it fails. I tried it on various machines in my office - if I compiled from the D: drive without the TMPFILES line, the program would not start up on a machine with a CD as the D: drive. But if I installed on a machine that did not have a D: drive at all, then it worked - I assume that in that case FWP giving the D: drive a "poke" does not trigger an error by the OS.

If I have said anything here in error, let me know because I would prefer to have my development files for this project on my D: drive as that drive is backed up regularly whereas my C: drive not so much so.

Thanks,

Albert
