Hi!

There are a lot of query kinds that are not editable by view designer.

To save query that is not editable by view designer (like query with UNION or query like yours), type it in "View SQL" mode, then save then close View Designer window, not just a View SQL window. A bit confusin, but it works for me.

For example, I managed to create remote view in VFP8 View Designer based on the call of SQL Server sotred procedure. COOL!

HTH.

>I just fired up the view designer and added two tables from the Northwind database (Categories and Employees). I added a few fields to the query, and added a filter "Categories.categoryname = 'Hello'" from the designer. Then I brought up the SQL code to try out the two-way option. I modified the line: Categories.categoryname = "Hello" to read: Categories.categoryname = "HelloThere" , then I tried to close the window, assuming it would update the view designer. Instead, I get the error "There is a duplicate table alias 'EMPLOYEES' in the FROM clause", and another "View/Query designer is unable to reload your changes. Would you like to rebuild content from designer?". Am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to work?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
