That's right. You may even have trouble if the table is already open, but I am not sure - just try it.

I am not sure about this one. It might depend on SET EXCLUSIVE, whether you can even have more than one user at a time. But in VFP, if 2 people can access the same information at the same time, there is usually no limit for practical purposes.
