I hate to saw this, but someone isn't paying attention...

1. Microsoft has cancelled and no longer developes Visual Basic*
2. Microsoft has cancelled and no longer develops J++
3. MS is developing a new version of VFP, and a public beta was just posted world wide
4. MS has talked about a version after the one in beta
5. People have been saying FoxPro will be canceled soon for 10 years now, it hasn't happened.

*VB.Net is a total new version 1 product and is not the old Visual Basic.

>My company is in the process of changing the existing system, which is developed in FoxPro 2.5, Lots of people are approaching my top management and suggesting them to go for VB. I am trying to convince the management to develop the system in VFP and SQL as backend, this part of the world everybody has +ve attitude towards VB, I am finding little difficult to convince the management.
