The attorney general's office is dispatching close to 200 staffers to monitor voting throughout Illinois. What's interesting is the overwhelming majority of them are being sent to Chicago, which of course always votes Democratic. What's even more interesting is the attorney general who is directing this monitoring operation just happens to be the Republican candidate for governor ;-)

Mike;

One thing I appreciated about Bush – he avoided Simon. However, I guess Giuliani had nothing to do in New York so he was everywhere in California promoting Simon. When Giuliani got to North Beach in San Francisco (core Italian democratic neighborhood), I thought he was going to be stoned!

Looking at our states history for the last 60 years indicates 40 years of republicans in the office of governor. Perhaps we are not as democratic as we think.

I am not sure if the fleas would want Simon. At least Homer Simpson has a personality, which is more than I can say for Simon. Homer might make a good governor.

Tom
