Follow-up....

Talk about a red herring...

My stub had a function called 'PerformService(DataSet DsRemoteInfo)'

My 'actual' service had a function called 'PerformService(DataSet DsIn)'

Apparently, the parameters for the 'stub/proxy' need to be spelled the same. Once I did that, and just did a simple 'myservice.url = ' before calling the service, it worked fine.

Go figure!
