I don't know. Simpler that way, I guess. I patterned my InputBox after the one in VB6, and designed it to handle the data types I thought most VFP programmers would want (character, date, numeric, and currency). For that reason it's still more useful than the native VFP InputBox, IMHO.
I haven't looked at the beta for VFP 8.0 yet. Is InputBox the same in 8.0 as it is in 7.0?
