Have you tried forcing the modem DOWN (say to 19900 or even lower)? Do the files still get corrupted? Are the files still valid immediately after downloading (before you start processing them)? What method are you using to update the table with the information from the files? Can you post your code? Do you have any download manager installed? If so, uninstall it and test it.
