PhDbase has it's problems (like no support), but it still does a great job and people, including myself, still use it. I have no idea on the liscensing issues, but if Hollogram isn't selling it anymore, maybe someone who owns a copy but doesn't use it could sell you theirs or something. I think that's probably legal. Certainly ethical. And who's going to sue you anyway, since the PhDBase guy apparently dropped off the face of the earth.
