Given that VFP7 isn't THAT expensive, I think you would be wise to get VFP7 ASAP and upgrade to VFP8 when it is released.

VFP7 had relatively few (cf VFP8), yet MAJOR enhancements. I feel that just getting used to Intellisense - along with all of the added 'power' it brings you - would pay huge dividends in terms of better exploiting all of the new VFP8 stuff.

Intellisense, at least for some of us, can be aggravating (with a capital "A"!) but it is well worth hanging in to get through that barrier than to succumb to turning it off and getting back to the old way of coding.

Other things in VFP7 are good too, of course.

cheers

>We are currently using VFP 6.0 but are needing to move to web enabled applications. I understand 7.0 has XML capabilities but after reading about 8.0 beta I'm not sure if I should purchase the 7.0 upgrade or wait for 8.0.
>Does anyone have an idea for a release date for 8.0, and are the differences worth weaiting for.
