I tried your sample in the public beta and it appeared to be missing the namespace parameter in the ToXML function. I don't know how correct this is as there isn't any documentation on the XMLAdapter other than the intellisense, but I just included an empty string and that fixed my error when trying your code.

		.ToXML('lcXML', '', lcSchemaLocation, llIsFile, llIncludeBefore, ;
			llChangesOnly)

Other than that - many thanks for the sample, its exactly what I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to do with the CursorAdapter :)
