I have wondered about this a while ago, too. I am not sure, but I don't see an advantage of using labels, and I have used reports exclusively. However, lately I have done a lot of reports in text mode (for fast&cheap printing on dot-matrix printers, like the Epson) - and I don't use the report writer for this purpose.
