Crystal Reports
Thanks Craig. What I need is a version of Crystal Reports that includes the viewer and allows me to embed it on a VFP form and distribute it as part of a compiled package. Current plans are to include predefined reports in our packaged application, with no ad-hoc reports. Data preparation will be done in fox and the resulting cursor passed to Crystal in a format it can read.
Since the Advanced version is quite expensive, I wonder if the Developer version, or a lesser one, will fulfill the needs explained above.
Thanks again,
Alex
>Hold on a minute. Crystal Reports cannot see Fox cursors and can't use them. You can use tables on disk. These can be accessed in different ways:
>
>- Direct access to Fox2x tables
>- ODBC
>- ADO using the Fox OLE DB provider.
>
>You should get Crystal Reports 9, Developer or Advanced edition, depending on your needs.
