If this error occured during installation of SP5, you probably do not download it correctly or your system have some other problem.
I always use P&DW and never encounter problems with it or with installation packages, created with it. So if you again download SP and the same error occurs, you may need to reinstall the Windows, VB6 and the SP5. Hope that spend time to reinstall will be no spend useless...
