I have been doing reports for many years and have never used that feature.
It is much easier that creating a couple of cursors.

>The Report Designer will let you define columns for the report. Select File | Page Setup from the menu. Fill in 2 for the number of columns and then click the second button for the Print Order to indicate you want it to go across instead of down.
