You can look at it that way, but VFP7 has some excellent stuff for developers and some of it takes time to learn or just to get used to.
VFP8 has SOOOOOO much NEW stuff, for developers AND for end users, that I really believe that you should comeout ahead by buying a VFP7 upgrade now and then upgrading to VFP8 when it comes out.
Just one opinion, and based on the relatively low cost of a VFP7 upgrade.
