Hmmm. It sounds like it's on the other end. Can you get to the computer that has the network drive? If so, are you able to rename it there? If not, then it's some setting on that computer. If so, then I bet the other PC is not Windows 2000 and it has something to do with the different OS's talking to each other. What is the OS of the machine that is the netowrk drive? If it's not Windows 2000, I think you may be out of luck.
