In a prior message (first?) you said you call the replace and Tableupdate methods, implying that there are two methods at play here.

I **think** the problem is that you have to find a way to do this ALL within one method. Being "stateless", anything you've done in your replace method is 'lost' once it finishes, so your tableupdate method is not getting the benefit of the things you've setup previously in your replace method.
