What, exactly, have you seen here that gives rise to this impression?
My impression differs from yours. My impression is that most people are well aware of the facts re VFP's market position and have made decisions on that basis.
You seem determined to present a scenario of a band of blinkered luddites who threw out a prophet for daring to speak the truth. Future prophets need to watch out or they'll be thrown out too for disagreeing with the blinkered ones.
