JVP isn't silenced. His account here still exists, his posts still exist, and are apart of the archive.

I'm not justifiying Michel's decision to ban anyone. Censorship is always wrong. But JVP's message isn't censored. We've simply heard it enough times that it didn't make any sense to pollute technical discussions any more than they already have.

John used poor judgement in deciding how to make his message most effective. Michel used poor judgement in deciding how to deal with John's trolling.

Reintroducing John's arguments here won't fix any of that. This can only be resolved between Petersen and Fournier. And if they do resolve their differences, I will be the first to welcome John back to technical discussions.
