Not much has been happening on this forum ever since Jerry left. I'm sure we haven't all stopped using Linux!!!!

Anyway I got Compiere Financial accounting system working on my RH 8.0. I have not played much but it works. Currently, it is working with Oracle 9i. I had to call for support to get it installed but it works now. Oracle was a problem but all it needed was a small script to get it to run. Getting the Compiere system to run was not at all easy. I now have to learn how to setup users and learn the system.

BTW compiere is the free (open source) 100% Java accounting system. Check it out at www.compiere.org. On the website it states that they are attempting to port to Postgres but I believe that port is now a moot issue because the writers are moving to support JBoss. Anybody else using or want to use Compiere??? I'm willing to past on the information I gained and help if I can. So anybody trying to use Compiere or thinking about it?
