It worked. The client machine was using a Logitech driver. We removed this and everything is fine. Thanks for this.

>>>Here's the real problem.

>>>When I install my app on a local disk all is OK.
>>>
>>>When I install my application to a network drive, all is ok except I have to click 5-10 times on a top-level menu item before it will drop down.

>>>I have tried removing all of the skip for clauses from the menu, but there is no improvement, so that's not the problem.
>>>
>>>Once I have selected a menu option the app is fine, all screens seem to respond quickly as expected. Then I have the same problem next time I want to select a menu option.

>>If I take all of the SKIP FOR clauses out of the menu, then the menu DOES respond correctly on the first mouse click. I took the SKIP FORs out, one menu at a time, then when I cleared tha last one all was OK.

>>I almost convinced myself that the SKIP FORs were the problem, but then I realize that using the ALT key to activate the menu, or any hot-key sequence (ALT+F, ALT+H etc) all cause the appropriate menu bar to drop down immediately.

>I'd start by looking at the mouse driver; I've had some users complain about that problem with ICA and VFP 5 when using LogiTech mouse drivers. I haven't had that problem reported yet with the MS Intellipoint 4.0 drivers that come with MS rodents of various types.
