"&&" never worked ..
oh, thought it was a vfp8 issue, but never even tried it on other version :)

thx for the DOEVENTS tip .. i think i have several of them in my code, in my splash screen for example .. but this let itself instantiate well with a DO FORM .. (and i can also modify it)

but on my main screens with lots of controls i'm getting this "syntax error" thingie ..
