One of my projects, I compiled in VFP8 beta, uses BEGIN TRANSACTION where lots of local views in an included database are involved.

From the coverage profiler I found that the BEGIN TRANSACTION takes about 2 seconds and the END TRANSACTION takes another second while only one field in one record has been changed. The same code in VFP7 (operating on the very same database) is blazingly fast.

I know, I know I should draw conclusions from a beta release, but still these kind of performance issues seem to odd to me..
