I assume he's looking for a generic method, since he's not automating Outlook using its object model.

Chris, a better generic approach is to use MAPI, and even more generic (no email requirements at all) is to use a control such as Mail/X from www.mabry.com or wwwIPStuff from www.west-wind.com.
