Read this thread for options saving the report output to a file. To send the generated file as an attachment, you have many possibilites.
1) Use MAPI, or better, MAPI wrapper class by Nigel Coates ( here in the Download area ). What i like with this method is that the sent mails will be saved in the 'Sent Items' of your default mail client
2) Use outlook.application object
3) Use SMTP directly ( check out Rick Strahl's wwIPStuff class )
4) Use BLAT DLL ( do a search on BLAT in google for instance )
5) I've read somewhere you can use Winsock, but why suffer?
