A customer gets a "'file' is not an object file" error when he tries to run my commercial vfox6 app on his windows 98 v4.10.1998 machines (he's tried on 2) but not on his NT machine.

I ship several .exe files with my app, all of which bring up the same error on the machines in question.

I've never seen this error before. The app has been installed on several hundred machines running all flavors of windows, including the same version of windows 98 (4.10.1998).

I've checked the microsoft knowledge base, which contains one article describing a vfox5 problem which doesn't apply (the microsoft search engine didn't find the article...it was referred to in a universal thread msg). Universal thread contains several references to the error but none appear to match my situation.

Any suggestions?
