Hello MM developers!
We have an integrated accounting application currently with separate projects for each. We are designing a “common” start up application to tie all the different packages together. We have all classes called and instantiated from the common project using the abstract factory, but the menus are another matter.
Our problem is how to change the menus as the user selects different applications (E.I. switching from General Ledger to Fixed Assets). The framework supports a single menu class hierarchy which produces the actual FoxPro menu structures. We have tried several solutions that have varying success, but each has involved changing a lot of base functionality and is not very straight forward.
We were hoping someone had produced a set of additional methods or new classes that allows the framework to more easily switch entire (or parts) of the menus between applications. On a side note, our current design goal had been to have the separate packages (projects) run standalone or as an integrated system, but is not necessary to retain if a good solution exists that does not have this capability.

Any ideas anybody? Kevin?

Thanks,

Igor Sandler
