Alex, I think it's good that you ask what book... in singular form. In my mind, as a newcommer or apprentice of the art myself, I would tell you to recommend: The Fundamentals: Building Visual Studio Applications on a Visual FoxPro 6.0 Foundation. Unless a sequel to this book comes out soon.
Further, I would recommend that the person
do not get into any other books except of course the Programmers Manual. I have found VFP to be hefty and powerful. It is far too easy to get all wrapped up in many different approaches and styles and uses of the technical language that it's no joke, I've been there! Actually, I'm still there... ;)
