Hi!
Column object have BackColor property. However, see if your grid is not reconstructed in run-time. If it is reconstructed, all columns are re-built with default property values and column objects/ If thius is a case, you should set columns backColor property manually or look how to get rid of reconstruction (see VFP Grids Part I article for this).
