This may have nothing to do with the programs you downloaded. However, it is possible that the programs caused changes to your computer and when you removed them, files, which affect your computer, were not removed or the programs made changes to your system.

I am not suggesting you rebuild your computer except as a last resort. By the way I am very careful about what I put on my development computer.
