My Mcafee Virus Scan Online is just about to expire. I keep getting emails to renew for $39.95US. If I go to there main webpage, I can buy the product for $29.99US. What gives?

Their virus update is kinda cheezy, since it launches a browse, which often freezes. Is Norton Anti-virus good? They have a competive upgrade from my version of Mcafree and a good rebate.
