I was wondering if:
- the app uses files on a server somewhere, and
- the app's temp files are being created on the server, and
- the user of that machine does have permission to create temp files on that server folder. For example the user may be an administrator of the local workstation but not an administrator of the server or domain.
Another off-the-wall idea to check is to disable any antivirus software, if running, and retest.
