Instead of a user having to see and interact with the SAVE or OPEN windows associated with saving a file or opening a file, we wanted to automate that process using VFP so that the program does it for the user automatically. Sergey said to look at the STRTOFILE() and FILETOSTR() functions which should do the trick so I will look at that in the morning. If you have another idea or option, I would love to hear it.
