Well, you said that right. I now remember why I have "stayed" away from grids - seems like I'm having to jump through a lot of hoops here. I'll say one thing though, using the grid with CodeMine txtQuickFill gives some quick heads down data entry speed in this grid - so I am happy with that.

I really only need to drop 2 columns - and they are both the left column's, so I think I might just use two grids as you mentioned and move on to something else unless I get it working as Jos mentioned within the next 30 minutes - as I have everything else working pretty good.

Glad to hear that VFP8 had these couple items changed - but I can't wait for it at this point.
