If you can wait a few months to actually deploy your application, you could start working with the free VFP8 beta for now, then buy VFP8 when it becomes available. OTOH, depending on what you need to do with XML, you may get excellent results with VFP7. The VFP8 CursorAdapter class certainy provides a new way of manipulating XML data. The October FoxTalk issue contains an article by Doug Hennig that's worth reading - to determine if that functionality is important enough for you to consider skipping VFP7 entirely.
>We are currently using VFP 6.0 but are needing to move to web enabled applications. I understand 7.0 has XML capabilities but after reading about 8.0 beta I'm not sure if I should purchase the 7.0 upgrade or wait for 8.0.
>Does anyone have an idea for a release date for 8.0, and are the differences worth weaiting for.
