Try something like following:
MyCursorAdapter.ConversionFunc = "MyDateTimeField TTOD"
"TTOD" is a converting function. As far as I know, you can put there your own UDF function as well, but it should accept only single parameter and should return a value that goes into the final data cursor.
It might not work in the beta, but most likely would work in the final release.
