No better design. Indeed, you require to check status of asynch operation. VFP does not works very well with events fired by ActiveX running in asynch mode, when at the moment of event firing another VFP code is running, though I do not know if this is correct for latest versions. Each ActiveX is unique in this, and thus you require to try and test it a lot when using such events.
