MSDN has some C++ examples. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/wmisdk/wmi/com_api_for_wmi.asp for the reference to using the COM API and WMI. I haven't used WMI with C++ so I don't think I can be of any more help if you go down that road.
