I am using VFP8 Beta on WinMe and I have not had any trouble. I believe the reason VFP8 requirements say Win2000/XP is because Microsoft is not supporting any of the other OS's, but it does not mean it could not work in a lower OS environment (Win9x/ME/NT4).
