We are experiencing incredibly slow VFP6 table record writing performance on a brand new Dual Xeon P4 2.4Ghz rig with 15k IBM Deskstars in a RAID5 Config. 1GB of Micron DDR is installed. All hardware has been tested and burnt in. We have tried our record writing tests without the RAID5 config and just one scsi drive. Still slow. The Adaptec controller is an AIC-7899 and is integrated onto the Intel 7500WV2 Motherboard. The RAID controller is an Intel SRCMR. When I say "Slow" I mean that the 15k SCSI writes records in VFP6 slower than the equivalent setup with an IDE hardrive. Now thats slow! Intel Tech is leaning towards this being a Foxpro problem with new SCSI hardware because write performance in any other "write" situation is 10x faster than in Foxpro. Also, there is no performance difference when using VFP7.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks...
