Thanks for the link... I'll be ordering the book and devouring it as I get some time off to do some very needed and well deserved reading.

Your message inspired me to run a quick search on Six Sigma and software development and came up with a couple of interesting links, including one to a conference that will take place in January precisely on six sigma and software development.

From what I've gathered so far, six sigma seems to be to quality control kind of what extreme programming has been to software development.
