This issue has been around for years in most versions of Novell and the clients. I managed a Netware WAN for 7 years and we had to optimmize our systems for ALL clients and apps. In order to that, sometimes a tradeoff is necessary. It is not just due to VFP/Foxpro apps but also Excel, Access, and other 3rd party applications that can run into problems. Perhaps some Novell docs for your IT folks will help:
