Hi everyone,
Last night I started working with an APPLE I-book running OS X 10.2. What struck me the most was how easy the system was to use (keep in mind that this a unix like system). I was able to setup windows file sharing (both ways –
Apple->Windows and Windows->Apple) in one (1) minute. The entire process was setup within a GUI. I opened only 4 windows, clicked a few boxes and I was done. In fact when I opened the first window to setup the connection from the Apple to Windows it displayed the entire network just as if I was using “my network places” on a window platform. I ask you - can you do the same with Linux (any distro)? SWAT can’t do it.
If Linux is ever going to make it as a desktop it has to be as easy as Apple’s OS X 10.2.
