>Thanks again for your input. I actually found some answers. West Wind's wwIPStuff has a wwHTTP class. The wwHTTP class has a function called wwHttpPing that allows you to ping a website (which is what you suggested we do to see if there was an internet connection.) However, I also found that when you use that on a system set up for dial-up, it will open a dial-up dialog automatically if no connection exists! That kind of kills all my birds with one stone.
