A potential client wants to know if I can connect their accounting package (yet to be installed), who's backend will either be DB2 or MS-SQL and their Point Of Sales home office repository that is using Adaptive Server Anywhere (ASA).

I will need to have stored procs in either DB2 or MS-SQL that will need to update the accounting files and also reach into the ASA tables to update them as well.

So here are the questions:

(1) Can I setup ASA as a linked server in DB2 ???
(2) Can I setup ASA as a linked server in MS-SQL ???
(3) Does ASA have it's own stored procs or is it just a lite version of Adaptive Server Enterprise ???
(4) Will I have to use ODBC with ASA or is there an OLEDB provider ???

Any experience and advice would be appreciated.

TIA !!!

Best Regards,
Jace
