I originally thought it was an error in the select but even the most simple select (select * from rcbfile) gets the same error. I've checked the libraries and they look correct. I have another 2.6 program which utilizes selects so I know it's not a 2.6 thing.

The last time I used FoxPro 2.6 was January 1995, when VFP 3 Beta was released, and I have not used it since. However, I recall that error message but not the cause.

Are there two types of exe's you can create? Memory tells me there was. If that is the case have you build both types of exe’s? Again, be sure your library is in fact the correct version. I think there were two versions? 2.6 and 2.6a? I could be very wrong about all of this but I am hoping you find the problem.
