Thanks for you tips. And most of the time, there is always at least 3 ways to do 1 task in VFP.
Setup my global default settings is always first actions after VFP installation. Very seldom that I need to change from the individual file properties. I even change my settings from registry to get more color selections for IDE. :)

>>If you set it from the Options form, and check the "Override individual settings" checkbox which is just below the file extensions textbox, Apply, and Set As Default, then line and column positions will be shown on "all" programs/forms editor. You just need to apply for all editors once from the Options and remember to Set As Default.

>>>Yep, it saves an entry for each individual program in foxuser.dbf. So you have to do it once for *every* program/form. Not the most productive implementation, eh?
