Once upon a wife (1st one was black-haired and dark skinned) a women entered the fashion store my wife was manager of and confidently launched into scolding her (this was during the "lets hate Iran/ians" early 80's) telling her denigrating things about "you people than come here and just want to take the benefits of *our* land", being "here first", and how "if you people don't want to become American" (i.e. assimilation) that she should "just go back to where" she came from. Apparently this women assumed my wife to be Iranian.

Punch line? My wife was %100 Native American.
