hmmmmph. I'd rather spend the extra $ and be able to actually sleep at night. Soon these subscriptions will cost 10,000 bucks cause only 1/3 of the people using them will actually be paying for them!

>That way two people can use the same thing illegally really. Perhaps he was planning on selling the boxes (without the activation codes) later? Very suspicious...

>>So what does that mean? You don't get any of the DVD's just the activation code so that you have to download everything? I mean geeze on a T3 it'd still take forever to get everything, plus then you'd have to burn it all off to DVD-R's or have a pile of hard drives laying around.
>>
>>>It makes you wonder. This vendor I found was selling 14 copies of "open box" MSDN Universal at around $1,000 bucks, stating that the only thing you get from him is the activation code and nothing else. The description also stated that these codes were not eligible for rebates.

>>>>I'd like to know how this guy can be selling 2800 bucks worth of software for 800 dollars. I mean MS sells it for 2800 how is he getting them so cheap that he can unload them for 800?

>>>>>Yeah, I've bought stuff at ebay too and haven't had a problem so far, although that's under 20 transactions.
>>>>>
>>>>>But I meant for licensed software at that cost, there would be some issues to consider. Like if it's a license transfer, has the software been registered, etc.
>>>>>
>>>>>I checked other MSDN Univ. being sold and most were already closed, the one that was open stated that the items were 99% "open box". But I suppose in the case of the MSDN subscription as long as you get your "unactivated" activation code you should be OK.

>>>>>>I've purchased over 150 items and sole over 100 items on ebay and have only been "burned" twice. I did purchase my MSDN Universal subscription on ebay and had no problems registering or using the subscription. If you do decide to purchase on ebay, always check out the feedback of the seller - that will usually tell you whether or not it is safe to make the purchase.
